Luscious and oily in the best way. Incredibly perfumed, honey, lavender and white flowers dominate the nose. Creamy yellow apple and pear on the palate. Fantastic. — 6 years ago
Lovely fruity nose. Cherries and red Luscious on the front of the palate. Juicy and well balanced. Well done. Drinking well now but can give enjoyment over a few more years . #cakebreadcellars — 7 years ago

Dark just like the skies around here, big and luscious — 7 years ago
Tasted blind. Deep dark and opaque. Red center with amber rims. Looks young. Very rich and luscious in the mouth. Black cherry, forest floor, tobacco leaf and a hint of old wood. Amazing impact out of the gate, but this declined in what it gave as the night went on whereas the 53 Lafite got better. — 8 years ago
Delicious. Fig, apricot, some baking spice, mild smokiness, candied pineapple. So luscious man idk but the acid is nice — 9 years ago
A lovely wine. Luscious cherries, plums, vanilla, mocha, and some cedar. A great wine for the price. Stag’s Leap always makes consistently fine wines. — 6 months ago
And now for something completely different. Tasted blind. Deep, dark and opaque. Herbal nose. Red fruit, tobacco leaf, menthol, some old cedar planks, some stone and some moist dark soil. Luscious in the mouth. Long finish, lingers forever. In a perfect spot. I guessed 61 Mouton. So regal, with big shoulders. Bottles like this have many more years of special delivery. Top top old Bordeaux... Thanks Stan! — 5 years ago

Good, smooth wine. — 4 years ago
See a couple of previous notes for this superb Pinot Noir. This is my last of the 2010s. Mid to dark Ruby / quite dark for a Pinot. Aromas of dried cherry coming through on to a luscious delicious palate of great intensity and length. As my previous notes will say this has always been one of Australia’s better Pinots long before Tasmanian Pinots became so well known. — 6 years ago

This had delicate red cherries and plums on the nose as well a slight mineral note. We actually had two bottles of this both were 2011. Strangely the first bottle finished more with pepper and spice and maybe a cola touch. The second bottle was smooth and velvety with luscious darker fruits, hints of vanilla and soil. The second bottle was noticeably different in its presentation and was actually preferred at the table. Mind you the first was still quite good. Just different. Would love to know the science of why but overall it is not that big of a deal. — 9 years ago

I’ll just commence this tasting note to see if it is accepted. Dense Ruby in colour. Blackcurrant and tobacco notes - ripe blue and black fruits - luscious texture. Anytime I’ve had a Napa (or Washington State) Cabernet I have always been impressed - probably better than most good Aussie Cabernets (and more expensive). Has a good future but irresistible right now. Have the last bottle in a year or two. Interestingly reverse osmosis was used to reduce the alcohol. Now at 13.9%. — 6 months ago
