Smells of honeysuckle and ripe honeydew. Scream in the city, mouthwatering deliciousness. A perfect balance to dry and sweet. I can’t pick out if it’s a little sweet or a little dry but it’s wonderful for whatever it is. Thoroughly enjoying this one, you just have to be ready for the acidity. Super super dry and amazing. Total river rock city at the beginning but with the wonderful little waxy ness later on. Reminds me of clynelish scotch a tiny bit which is a great thing. Highly recommended — 3 years ago
My daughter is making French Onion Soup and the recipe calls for vermouth, so I told her I thought I had some in the cellar. I bought this bottle on clearance at a favorite wine shop a few years ago and didn’t get to it as soon as I hoped... I tried a glass to make sure it was still good and it is so much better than good. It is a little thicker and slightly sweeter than many white vermouth I’ve had with a moderately spicy/herbal finish. Should be great in the onion soup too! — 4 years ago
A more than adequate Cabernet blend from Bolgheri drinking well at a young age. Cassis and a little mocha - dry tannins. Consumed in the famous old restaurant of Grassilli in the foodie city of Bologna. The walls covered with photos and etchings of famous opera singers. Great food, limited wine list. — a year ago

En mag. I was curious to see how this showed upon opening, and it unsurprisingly needed a quick decant to blow off some funk. As a blind pour, it’s tough to get to Mourvèdre heavy in profile, but it absolutely is what makes older CdP so magical. Beautiful faint ruby in the glass. A bit leathery and maybe even a small hint of brett, but then it evolved to show potpourri, spiced red and black fruits and garrique. In the glass, the expected savory notes come out with smoked meat, gaminess, black pepper baked-rhubarb, little bit of truffle. Elegant. Good acidity. Delicious finish! — 2 years ago

I think this is an amazing Malbec blend - 58%, 23% Merlot, 10% Cab, 8% Syrah, and 1% Petit Verdot but… it needs to open up a little bit more; I can’t help being impatient- this wine has been 9 years for me to find it tucked away in a small city Arkansas liquor store. Initial impressions are - I love this but and the intricacy of the blend. On the nose - definitely blackberry and black currants. So smooth and perfectly balanced on the palette. I would definitely purchase this again but I’d look for an older bottle for sure! Oh, did I mention this bottle cost under $20? — 9 months ago
