Age 18 Ans Pays d'Auge Calvados

Carmel, chewy chocolate goodness….Calvados is our Fall/Winter warm-up jam… and it’s all about the age. 18 years ushers in that silken smooth yet 80 proof weight…but in truth it’s the complexity of the apple aroma. I love using our antique German crystal glasses… swirl, deep sniff, repeat!

Calvados Pays d'Auge V.S.O.P. Apple

Just everything you want from a Calvados. It’s smooth and warming with a great blend of apple flavors and mellow wood. They leave just the right amount of sweetness in this one. A delight. — a year ago

Calvados 12 Years Old XO Extra Old Pays d'Auge Eaux-de-vie

30-year old. Caramelized apples, very warm, tannin, dried apricots. Of the 15,20 and 30, this is the least approachable. But still delicious. — 2 years ago

Privilège Calvados du Pays d'Auge 18 ans d'Age

Happy fall! Calvados remains the best after dinner drink, in my somewhat humble opinion, especially on a crisp autumn evening. — 3 years ago

This finished in Cognac barrels. It offers a much drier expression focused on wood characteristics. Savory and firm this would be good with some pate or foie. — 2 years ago

XO Calvado Pays d'Auge

Andrew Holod
9.1

Aged for 10 years in barrel.
This has well integrated components of the wood and is showing the deep harmonious notes of autumn; decaying leaf mould, slightly browning apple skin/pulp, clean hummus. It is all tertiary sweetness.
