The best rosé in the FUCKING WORLD. Pink peppercorn and baking spice and wild strawberry and ginger and citrus. Beautiful acidity and refreshing and so hazy it’s opaque. IT IS ALSO CHEAP. — 10 days ago
Dinner with a friend, brief notes this evening.
OMG Brouilly, you are so GREAT! Brambly raspberry, wet soil, ripe black cherry, very deep on the palate, nice!
48 Hour Update:
Nose has muddy raspberry, black cherry mash, faint baking spice, hardwood charcoal and (minor) menthol/mint notes.
Palate has blackberry, dehydrated cherry, young black currant with its earthy sweetness, touch of sweet acidity on the medium finish. Yum. — a month ago
Nose has butter, some sweet wood and glorious minerals. Gorgeous lime zest. Apple spice as well. So clean and complex. Palate is gorgeous. Incredibly integrated and super mineral. Hint of wood and gobs of apple and pear fruit accented by gorgeous minerality. Juicy and so refined. Dazzling purity and freshness. Terrific depth. Brilliant wine. — 9 days ago
Orange blossom, honey, tea, and lemon. Nice balance of sweet and tart. Mild natty funk. — 9 days ago
2017 is so so good for Monthelie. Terrific and spicy nose of sour cherries and mid season cherries. Huge licorice. Poised and focused. Gobs of earth and minerals. Juicy, clean and energetic. There is significant structure and purity. Lovely dusty but substantial tannins. Such laser focus and accessible giving 17 mid season cherry fruit. Really saps out on the finish. Long. — 14 days ago
Different in a good way! Would recommend for the adventurous — 4 days ago
Small producer making some excellent wines. Only $58 so quite on the low side these days for village puligny.
Very good on pop and pour.
Nose is gorgeous. Seashells. Some flowers. Very mineral. Intensely aromatic.
Palate has good richness. Very good. Mineral spine. On the dense side but by no means a sledgehammer. Really delicious. Sweet fruit. Very good amplitude. Almost a hint of peach.
Long lovely nicely fruited finish.
Bought from fass selections.
