Even better than côte du py in this vintage. Crazy cherry on the nose, iron too, earth, crazy barnyard notes too. The palate is a yummy mix between a big acid backbone, different layers of fruits and textures, firm tannins, and a finish with cherry and a terroir twist. A master piece. — 4 days ago
Iron, Cherry and cherry eau de vie on the nose, very profound and lovely nose. The palate is, as usual, very balanced with a sugary cherry touch at first, a long acid backbone with lots of texture and fruits, and a superb finish with fruits and freshness. Consistently brilliant — 5 days ago
I’m in heaven ... chalk, crushed rocks, very mineral nose. Butman what a palate !! Lemon and white flowers with a liquorish/sugary touch at first. Then it expands on the width with a velvety texture which is odd for a white. Butter in here too . Long acid backbone with a finish that lingers with white flowers. An epiphany when it comes to Chablis. Re contextualising everything I have ever tasted there. — 4 days ago
What a nose ! Black currant of course, but mocha too, almond, strawberry too, earth a bit, game a little bit. What a complex nose. The palate is very consistent with the nose with the same flavours plus a majestic balance. Consistent with the vintage too: not an overwhelming palate, rather a subtile, long palate, than a bodybuilder. Nice long finish with red forest fruits. Good one even considering the vintage. We paired it with a superb 2 and half pound entrecôte and steamed potatoes and turnips —> royal pairing — 11 days ago
Textbook Sancerre, with passion fruits and pineapple and cat piss on the nose : very appealing. The palate is rather on the length than on the width. Lemon and exotic fruits with a sheer acid backbone. Refreshing finish with a nice touch of white fruits. Delivers what is expected. — 4 days ago
Grenadine, strawberry, currant on the nose. A bit of funky barnyard too, but that goes away after a while. The palate is multidimensional with width and length : Fruits, tannins, texture, a long finish with strawberry again. Good one — 5 days ago
Superb delicate saint Veran. White peach, mango, chalk on the nose. Good palate with white peach again, a strong acid backbone, a wonderful balance and a very refreshing finish. Easy going Chardonnay that paired pretty well with oysters and wonderfully with very fresh and delicious white asparagus. Quite a bargain ! — 11 days ago
