2021 vintage. This was my favourite at the Boissenot lab primeur tasting (77 wines, but no Crus Classés), and now that it is on the market, it gives you an idea what to expect from a good wine in this difficult vintage. Attractive nose, very fresh, with cassis and flowers. In the mouth it doesn't have the weight of the great vintages, but it is an impeccably balanced, lighter wine, juicy and fresh, with more than decent length. Very modestly priced too, very good value and ready to drink immediately. A blend of 53% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. Abv. 13%. — 2 years ago
Part 3 of Columbia County weekend: the last leg of a great dinner, w ginger ice cream. At 7.5% abv it’s remarkable the archeological dig of flavors— from candied yam to gummy bears. The texture stands out-so caressing, friendly even, like a golden lab. I don’t drink enough Auslese, & at 20$, it’s even possible — 5 years ago

Smooth yet full bodied with ripe fruit on palliate. Medium finish. — 6 years ago
Picked this baby up Nuit-Saint-George while touring France with the in-laws. Father-in-law currently in the cath lab for an inferior STEMI, so decided to break this one out of the archives. Best of luck, Ralph! — 7 years ago
5 bottles of this fell into my cart at Costco on St Patrick’s Day. I have enjoyed past vintages and will lay this one down for a few years. . Well , i set 4 aside. The 5th will be taken to carafe lab for research with my Friday sommelier @Logan Edwards — 7 years ago
It’s good. Super smooth but with a punch especially as it warms. Sweet but not overly. It’s got some alcohol that shows up more when warm. Nice finish. Sake Lab GoSenHa — 2 years ago
Off dry, fresh apple, a hint of lychee indicating some Gewurztraminer in the blend — 3 years ago
2014. I had a nice conversation about volatile acidity with my daughter after her first impression was “Nail polish remover. Like the acetone we used in chem lab this afternoon.” The VA was definitely a big part of the aroma, but I loved the wine paired Italian sausage and peppers! — 5 years ago
This was a Casemates lab rat bottle. It’s not an east-to-find varietal, but worth the hunt if you find one this nice. Right on opening, I got an aroma of raspberries, and a little bit of funkiness like I usually associate with Pinot Noir. It was a nice, smooth drinking wine that was terrific with a really eclectic meal of grilled pork chops and a variety of veggies. — 6 years ago
This is what I call a CA laboratory wine. A little bit of this...a little bit of that...and voilà. Hey! CdP does it all the time so what the hell! As a lab wine it's terrific. But to drink it everyday? Good Lord. — 7 years ago
was good… nothing wow…but it wasn’t disappointing either — 3 years ago
Bright and fresh, a little effervescent — 6 years ago
Really solid Napa Cabernet, redfruits mostly, a tad tannic still, but just lovely with our UCD Meat Lab flatiron steak, medium-long finish, excellent!! — 7 years ago
Smooth and full of flavor!

Just had a taste of this since the Somm suggested this versus The Muni. Price was the same. I prefer the Muni personally and it’s the one I selected. This was nice but lighter and didn’t have the weight of the Muni. They are both good, just head to head I think I made the right call. — 7 months ago
