Strong and unfamiliar fruit. Complex finish. — 4 years ago
Dark ripe berries but not overly fruity. Balanced with notes of white pepper and anise. Subtle minerality. Supple texture. Could age nicely. Takes a chill well. — 6 years ago

Drank at home with roast chicken. Such a good bottle. Sweeter than I normally like but didn’t mind — 7 years ago
Cheapie screw top liter from the dusty place around the corner and … ok! Warm blood standard shet. I can imagine it would go well with harder sharper cheeses actually. I can taste some raisiny tannin. Not bad! 13.99, 70% Syrah, 30% Grenache. Wish I had a mahkluba. — 6 months ago

Love the smoky notes without it being overwhelming. Great contrast to the cherry-fruity notes from the nerello. — 3 years ago

This wine is cloudy in appearance with a peach-like tint to it. The nose is complex, with notes of watermelon rind, pineapple, green apple, and citrus. The palate is savory and tart. There are flavors of sour cherry, apricot, Meyer lemon, and pineapple juice. A cloak of salinity wraps around the flavor package. This is one of the more interesting wines I’ve tasted lately. I don’t know if it’s for everyone, but it is for me. I would like to pair it with a shrimp salad or even have it with an eggs-and-sausage brunch. Breakfast, even, if you don’t have to go to work. — 9 days ago
