For wine dinner 5/8/21 paired with chicken thigh confit and again a surprisingly good match. The Viognier is on the light and acidic side with subdued tropical fruits. The Jemrose of a better example but was just slightly over-powering for the food viz this wine. Another good lesson in how excellent pairing can mask flaws on both sides. In this case Jane’s chicken is superb.
