The kind of wine you never won’t to end… just sensational. What a beautiful expression of Napa and the wine was drinking beautifully with 15 years of age. — 3 months ago

84% Cabernet Sauvignon; 5.5% Merlot; 5.5% Cabernet Franc; 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Blackberry and black currant fruit, with chocolate, espresso, earth and a mineral note. Nicely balanced. — a year ago
This bottle of the 1984 “Signature” was opened and Audouzed about an hour prior to service. It was then enjoyed over the course of three hours. The wine pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing and was initially tightly wound but eventually opened up to reveal sensational notes of black currants, blackberries, tobacco, mixed herbs, inorganic earth and fine baking spices. In the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (still!) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. A sensational, classic, evergreen Napa Cabernet Sauvignon made by the legend herself, the one and only Cathy Corison. Drink now with some air or short decant. However, well stored examples will drink well through 2044. — 21 days ago

Hello from bitter cold MN. Woke up this morning to -23 degree temps and it was garbage day…. 🥶
Continuing my month of drinking 2016 wines. Almost opened Pape Clement tonight. Thoughts on if that’s too soon anyone? Smash or pass?
This is drinking very well. Has that Corison thing with great tension of fruit and acidity. Mouthwatering.
Cheers all. 🍷 stay warm and safe this weekend. — 2 months ago

This is what every Cabernet Sauvignon should taste like. Despite being from Italy instead of California, this Cabernet has the richness of a Corison or other top Cabernet Sauvignon, but for less money. Deep intense stewed fruit to start with plum and blackberry, rich earthiness, chocolate and tobacco, then perfect tannins to finish. And aged just the right amount now to smooth out the tannins. Buy some if you can find it. At $67.50, this Cabernet Sauvignon was an extraordinary value. — 2 years ago

1st vintage from the Kronos vineyard. What a treat!
Decant for sediment(lots of sediment). A splendid medium ruby red color with bricking. On the nose: dried red fruit, smoked meat, worn leather, coffee grounds, dried herbs, truffles. Taste: silky, and so fresh for its age with sour cherry, loamy soil, black tea, graphite, herbs, and a nice pepper-earth medium plus finish. YUM!!!! Sure on the downside, but still perfectly drinkable. — a month ago
