This is how you do orange wine. Not oxidative or bitter, it’s vibrant and refreshing, with the maceration contributing structure and dimension instead of weighing it down and obscuring the terroir/varietal characteristics. Lots of dried citrus peel, nectarine, herbs and spice with a touch of yeast. One of the only examples of the genre that kept me reaching for another glass. — 16 days ago

Dry Tokaji Furmint Blend 2015

If I were to taste this blind I’d guess Loire Sauvignon, such is the fresh, lean and vibrant profile of this Tokaji Furmint. Apple, lime, peach and blossom notes are graced with a highly mineral finish. This is drinking very well now at five years of age. Not my kind of white, but a great accompaniment to seafood pasta. — 25 days ago
