Hudson Rock

Piedrasassi

Rim Rock Vineyard Arroyo Grande Valley Syrah 2021

It leads with black olives, then a touch of brett but pleasant, purple flowers, and a good amount of stony minerality. Very quintessential Syrah. A little bit of bacon fat and smoke. On the palate the body is light. Tannins are moderate and fine and it brightens up the profile with good acidity even though the finish is not very long. It's very clear what they're trying to do and they're achieving it here. — 8 days ago

T'n'S Blocks Hudson Vineyard South Syrah

2018 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 1.5 hours. Medium body. Excellent, dark color. Some leaner fruits balanced with earth and spices. On the prettier side of the ledger currently. 1.2.26. — 3 months ago

Hudson

Estate Grown Napa Valley Chardonnay 2018

Luckily, this bottle was on par again.
Freshness of juicy fresh fruit, just-enough-acidity and a mineral twist combined with creamy Napa-richesse of warm pastry, vanilla and a hint of caramelfudge.

Absolutely delicious other than a developing clove note throwing me off a little. Nose and palate were phenomenal right out of the bottle. — a month ago

This is a “wifey” rating…
Caramel and butterscotch notes on the nose and palate. Roasted pineapples and limes present on the mid palate, with a note of preserved citrus fruits. Evolving to a better place as it warms up in the glass. Getting better with bottle age.

No longer interested in spending my attention on this platform. Too flakey and too many bugs. Not a good use of my time.

Visual tells you that this is a mature example. Nose presents olives peaches. Palate is all about macerated olives and briny notes. Nice delicate nutmeg and roasted nut notes combine with ripe white fruits and moderate sweetness. I love the Hudson vineyard so wanted to take a look at this. We got to this a little too late, but it’s still excellent. Its pedigree shines thru. — 7 months ago

Chimney Rock

Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with splashes of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec all SLD estate fruit, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, oak and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and currants with tobacco and herb spice. Fine smooth tannins, approachable, long finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and herb mineral character. Nice! — 3 months ago
