Maritana Vineyards Dutton Ranch Chardonnay 2017, Russian River Valley, California
Light yellow in color with a golden hue.
Light nose of citrus, vanilla, light oak, spices and yellow apples.
Full bodied, buttery and soft, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with light oak and vanilla, citrus, lemons, grapefruits, herbs, earth, spices and white pepper.
Medium plus on the finish with bitter almonds and black pepper.
This is a very nice and elegant Chardonnay from Russian River Valley. Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel.
This oaky Chardonnay, is not the "in your face" kind of wine, and even better with food.
This Single Vineyard is a good quality wine, that will age nicely in the next 5 years.
I paired it with cheeses, and it worked very nicely with the Swiss cheese and the double cream Brie cheese.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Little finds like the Roberto Garbarino Alta Langa Dosaggio Zero are best part about attending Collisioni. What a unique wine and a great substitiute for Champagne. Here I found a wonderfully floral-infused tart citrus bouquet with limestone minerality. On the palate, I found exotic florals with saturating young peach, minerals and silky, caressing textures. It finished refreshing yet long on stone fruits and inner floral tones. #collisioni17 #altalanga — 4 years ago

Medium color depth - reminds me of yellow roses. Nose of pear, app cider, grapefruit, butter biscuit. A little off-dry. — 5 years ago
Off dry Mosel Riesling, aged on the lees so it has a slightly fuller body. Pronounced nose of lime zest, gravel, green apple, smoke, and new raincoat (petrol). On the palate there is tangerine, lime and perhaps some tropical notes. Just enough residual sugar and lots of acid, perfect for some Thai food. Outstanding QPR. — 3 years ago

Second of the threesome reds from Dane Cellars. Dark garnet red. Very gamey attack on the nose with savory notes such as iron and grilled herbs. Day one on the palate mirrored the nose, notes of iron, pepper and meat. Moderate tannins (6/10) and moderate plus body. Slight heat that dissipated on day two. Day two the nose of the Mourvedre really came through, with purple floral notes. Palate added in some greenery and flowers. Heat began to come up with a long finish. Drink till 2024. — 5 years ago
