Well balance, high acidity, red fruits can be kept in the cellar for a few years. — 3 years ago
This is weird, but if you read NK Jemisen’s Broken Earth series, and you think about the all-powerful onyx obelisk—that’s what it feels like I’m drinking. Overwhelming in every way—Big, bold, ripe, boozy. But balanced and smooth and soft like velvet glove. I just fall deep into the glass and wanna stay there. The dark, juicy fruit — a blackberry/blueberry cobbler comes to mind—lingers forever. — 4 years ago
11 years in and still green. Blows off after 2 hrs decant and is a lovely Cabernet underneath. More closely related to Bordeaux than California. — 3 years ago
Muy sabroso, suave, agradable en boca, frutas. — 4 years ago
100% Grenache from Madrid. Huge on the organics. Smoke, Earth and rubber on the nose. Earthy and minerals on the pallet. Jammy Fruit notes are prevalent on the mid-pallet. Complex and bold. Best with food. Quite a unique expression of an Old World wine. — 5 years ago
Mellow, low in tannins. Cherry overtones. — 2 years ago
This is the Artazu Pasos de San Martin Navarra, a varietal Garnacha. A bit sleepy before it gets air, it gradually Benjamin Buttons and develops a terrifically pure nose of kirsch and raspberry ooze, along with crushed rock dust and sandalwood. In the mouth it’s got intense fruit, but is laser-focused and has excellent acids. Zero flab.
Just enough tannin to package it all. Really nice rendition of Grenache. — 2 years ago
Often times lacking the acidity and tensions found in other countries, this is a beautiful example@of American riesling. While it shouldn’t be compared to a German Riesling for example, this still has a powerful presence. A bit more round but it’s enveloping. Very good stuff from a really good dude! — 4 years ago

Nice wine, but a bit less full and interesting than I was hoping. Slightly thin and almost a bit watery. Still nice refinement and a decent finish. — 2 months ago
