A great Sauvignon Blanc! This wine is bright not too crisp but tastes best very chilled! It doesn’t hurt that I’m sitting at a great restaurant in St Maarten by the beach with a beautiful woman! My wife!! — 3 months ago
Strong cherry and light spice on the nose. Garnet in color, light body but full in flavor. Brightly cherry with earthy notes for the tongue. Mildly tannic finishing quickly in light oak and tobacco. Feels like a traditional French pinot but on the lighter side. — 4 months ago

Not bad, but I’d take the 17’ Leflaive Bourgogne any day over this. I liked how complex the nose was, and that it was textural and quite mineral, but I just couldn’t stand how sweet-fruited and oily the profile was. Very clearly a warm vintage Burg. Then again, Amiot does make more generous Chardonnay’s. Not for me, but I’d recommend this over any butter ball to lovers of “smash-mouth” wines. — 3 months ago
It’s beautiful and French in the way that only the French can be. — 4 months ago
Lively. Subtle. Great balance even at this age. Had it with classic roast chicken. — 6 months ago
Brought by a friend from his cellar. Popped and poured. The 2016 “Les Charmes Dessus” pours a bright yellow color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with rather powerful notes of tropical fruits: pineapple and passion fruit with some lemons, honeysuckle, caramel, limestone minerals and subtle baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and grippy, slightly chalky. There is a very attractive, creamy texture too. A very lovely wine that works pretty darned well with octopus carpaccio. Drink now through 2031. — 3 months ago
