Pale salmon color; strawberries, watermelon, and orange peel on the nose; medium acidity; tastes like pink grapefruit, crushed gravel, and raspberries with a long fruity finish. Nellie likes it and I do too. — 12 days ago
What an amazing wine! Opened brilliantly over the course of a few hours. Earthy, spicy and delicious. — a month ago
Plums and cloves, pairs well with cast iron steaks, pitbulls in tortilla blankies, and God of War Ragnarok — 6 days ago
This California, non-region specific, red blend knocked my socks off when someone ordered a bottle at dinner. I’d never have chosen it myself, but am glad I tried it. Beautiful nose, tannins and finish. And at $35.99 at our local wine store, it’s a steal! — 4 days ago
With a table full of giants , for many this was the WOTD. Text book Rayas on the nose; strawberry, cherry, spices and kirsch.
This is a wine that makes love to your palate. Teasing and caressing your mouth with harmonious waves of elegant and balanced fruit. A great Rayas in a poor vintage for CDP. However for me the partner in life is the 2005 , which has complexity and concentration that puts that one in the Hall of Fame along with ‘78, ‘90 & ‘95 — a month ago
