Bee Hunter Wines Eagle Point Ranch Grenache 2015 Mendocino, California
A very pretty color of ruby with a very wide brick rim.
Interesting nose of blackberries, cedar, cooked cherries, raisins, figs, chocolates, sweet vanilla, cola, spices, mint and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with cooked cherries and strawberries, lemon peel, vanilla, light raisins, dried fruits, cedar, herbs, licorice, cola, chocolates, sweet vinaigrette, spices and black pepper.
Long finish with fine tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Grenache from Mendocino County in California. Much lighter than I expected it to be, but it is so yummy.
This Single Vineyard is good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime, when it shows the complexity.
This six year old is peaking now, and drinking very nicely with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.
Alcohol is not showing at all, so watch out. Nicely balanced at this point. Easy drinking and tasty.
A great sipping wine, but good with food too. I paired it with Brie cheese and crackers.
14.8% alcohol by volume.

2019 vintage. Nuance is an original white blend from the excellent organic Languedoc estate La Cendrillon. Petit Manseng (40%), Grenache Gris (18%), Grenache Blanc (12%), Marsanne (7%), Roussanne (7%), Albarino (7%), Verdejo(6%)and Macabeu (3%). A part is vinified and aged in 13hl Austrian wood barrels, the rest in stainless steel. Light yellow. Attractive nose with lemon, peach, fresh pineapple and flowers. Juicy citrus fruits, pineapple and bright acidity go hand in hand with a round mouthfeel. Long finish with ripe pink grapefruit and a salty minerality. Intriguing wine and great value. Highly recommended. — 8 days ago
Pale lemon green; medium intensity aromas of yellow apple skin, yellow apple, apple blossom, firm pear, quince, subtle sawdust; dry, medium plus acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium finish, only moderately concentrated but nicely complex, flavors bright and clean — a day ago
2014 Vintage. 16% Alcohol. Needs a bit more time but extremely enjoyable. First time we’ve seen a white wax seal on any SQN. Part of Gail’s birthday celebration. With black truffles on house made fettuccine at Il Cortile in Paso Robles. First wine from that wooden six pack. After a day of tastings at Torrin, McPrice Meyers, Fulldraw, Booker and Benom, had to be a special bottle to stand out! Paso rocks! — 9 days ago
Nice grenache nose with blackberry notes along with garigue and tapenade touches. This is simple yet very inviting. The palate is very well made with a very strong acid backbone, a nice blackberry note all along, somehow a milky mouthfeel, a powerhouse of a midpalate with a good grip and a very long finish with fruit and that grip, along with a tiny bitter touch. This is simple but very well made. More of this!! — 12 days ago
Nice bubbly pinky color, with a slightly orange tone. Nose of nice ripe tropical fruits, pineapple, banana, and sweet vanilla. Nose is sweet and fragrant. Taste of nice acidity with sweetness, a bit mineral, zest, strawberry gummy, and apple flavors. Good flavors. Aftertaste is showing more zesty note and actually some warmth. Decent. — 20 days ago
The wine has evolved much more than I thought it would. Color has dropped out significantly. Still a very good medium bodied rayas but drink now. Elegance of 100 pct Grenache still absolutely there. Drinking coche and reynauld next to eachother is a rare treat. — 3 days ago
Beigey, and just barely pink. Crisp, apple and melon and tart on the nose. Taste is really nice. Crisp, acidic and a tad sweeter than I expected. Reminds me a little of a citrus dessert, lightly sweet and creamy. Love. — 20 days ago
