Medium yellow with a touch of yellow gold, wide watery rim . Beeswax, cut grass, peaches and cream, lemon rind , grapefruit and a touch of toastiness. On the palete quite intense with that grassy note, peach , confit lemon, good acidity and good length. Quite round but the richness is counted by the acidic backbone. Fresh and vibrant with balanced alcohol . This is drinking well now , but will continue at this level for the next 10 years or so. — 4 months ago

Also on this weekend we opened the 2019 Grgich Hills Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc Fumé Blanc.

On the nose is pungent aromas of grapefruit, peach, gooseberry, melon, herbaceous and grassy notes.

On the palate there is grapefruit, gooseberry, peach, melon, grassy notes and minerality.

Pale lemon. One the nose- apple, pear, peach, citrus, and a grassy/herbaceous note that I can’t put my finger on. Burst of grapefruit and pineapple with some minerality on the palate. Medium body. Nice, zesty acidity. Was a bit tight at first out of the bottle. Best to let it breathe a bit and losen up some. Fun and cheeky wine! — 8 months ago

Wonderful Sauvignon Blanc! Great acid, nice grassy nose. This wine smells of burnt rubber, under ripe pears lime and the famous cat pee. This is a really enjoyable wine! — 10 months ago
