A classic sav Blanc. Tart Grapefruit and light grass immediate. Then a crisp tart finish.

Nice bottle of the usual suspects: tomato vine is most prominent, some wildflowers, freshly squeezed lime, and some green herby notes.

One of the earliest viticultural inhabitants of Marlborough, the Giesen Brothers offer a fantastic portfolio - including a Pinot Noir from the pedigreed Clayvin Vineyard. When it comes to value in New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, however, it's hard to beat Giesen's entry-level. Tart, clean, and mineral - it tastes of sea water-splashed bell peppers, mixed with cold grapefruit slices and cilantro.

Bright yellow hue. Aromas and flavors of cream, grapefruit, grass, lemon curd, minerals, orange blossom, and pear. Medium body and high acidity. Intense, aromatic nose with a soft, easygoing mouthfeel and a dry, mouthwatering finish. Solid Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Has a bite to it. High acidity. Tropical. Straw color. Complex. Powerful. Burns down throat. High alcohol. [Bottle says: 12.5% automatically expressive, generously flavored with fresh cut herbs, tropical fruit, subtle notes of black current leaf]

Lovely nose of guava, starfruit, lime, green bell pepper and hint of sea breeze. Palate is clean and crisp, and slightly saline. Very good for under $10.00.
