Tonight's wine I have opened another Sauvignon Blanc, the 2018 Allan Scott Family Winemakers Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
The nose shows expressions of peach, tangerine, grapefruit, guava, lemongrass and minerality.
On the palate the nose is confirmed with grapefruit, tangerine, white peach, orange peel, peach skin and nice mineral notes.
The wine is medium bodied with high acidity that leads to a long clean crisp fruit finish. These New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs really have a lot to offer and I will be drinking more in the coming months. I will also try more Loire Valley, Bordeaux and Alsace Sauvignon Blanc's to try and round out my experiences. We can look forward to the weekend full of family and friendship. Have a plan and be safe. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 4 days ago
Vintage 2012 / Good effort! A smell with some flowers, jasmin, flint and minerals. Expressive and beautiful smell. Juicy taste with high bitters and nice acidity, a good food wine. I paired it with a small waldorf salad, cantonese beef with eggs and tomato and cheese (cantal + blue). It worked out well for all. Good New Zealand riesling. — 2 days ago
Yesterday late afternoon with my wife while visiting my son and his wife in Arkansas we had the pleasure of opening the 2017 Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
On the nose there was beautiful aromatics of grapefruit, guava, lime, grass, orange peel, white flowers and minerality.
On the palate the nose was confirmed with notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lime, orange peel, herbaceous notes and minerality.
The wine is well balanced, medium bodied with high acidity and a nice effervescence quality that leads right into a long fresh, clean crisp finish. A very nice expression of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was enjoyed by all and everyone expressed their full enjoyment. Have a great week this week and please be safe. A fine glass during the Dungeons and Dragon weekly sesh. Although my character was getting his butt handed to him, I was able to find comfort in this fantastic wine. Tart, refreshing and lemony... would drink again! — an hour ago
This Kiwi Pinot Noir shows a light tint and an earthy nose with a hint of black tea and herbs. It does not smell bombastic, but there’s more stuff there than the color might indicate. On the palate, dark fruit runs in front, with earth and spice in tow. Again, not a showoff, but heftier than Burgundy. It’s a real treat which should please Pinotphiles as well as those not so inclined.

Tonight's wine is the 2018 Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
The nose reveals aromas of lime, grass, melon, grapefruit, mandarin orange, orange peel and wet concrete.
On the palate there are notes of grapefruit, nectarine, passionfruit, lime and mlm limestone minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with a smooth rich balance and high acidity that moves right into a long clean, crisp, minerality finish. I am really liking these New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs and they don't disappoint. Let's have a great weekend this weekend and enjoy whatever wine or wines you decide to drink. Lets be safe and be kind to each other. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 18 days ago
