This was cherries in a bottle. Tart, bright red and black cherries. Slight earthy component. Was slightly overpowered by some of the cheeses on the board but was a good pairing. Put a slight chill on it to 65 degrees. — 6 months ago

Floral, strawberry, cherry, leather, searing acid, screaming tannins. I see where Nebbiolo gets it from. A beautiful wine, but definitely needs time. — 6 years ago
One of the best Barbara’s I’ve ever tasted. Full bodied and long lasting flavor. — a day ago
I’m very impressed with this!! For £5.49, from Lidl, it’s smooth, lightly floral, hint of bitter citrus, light lick of minerality, it’s super easy drinking, but not inelegant. — 9 months ago

Lovely Barbaresco, a bit light in color but nice in taste.
Not too heavy but brings a nice flavor of full body.
Not so tart and harsh as the one 2 days agon from Verduno.
The owners of the Vineyard Ca del Baio are 3 sisters, one went to school with Alessandro from Casa Ressia.
Excellent price for this wine.

Likey. Good pizza wine. Again fo sho. — 6 years ago
Medium ruby garnet , with medium thin garnet ruby rim. This is quite closed at first , needs some time in the glass . Quite somber and dark fruited , with anis , dry spice and porcini , black tea. Quite meaty and deep . On the palate this is more generous , with quite rich saline edged dark fruits , currants , black tea and porcini . Quite fresh acidity and quite noticeable grippy tannins . Long and really quite intense on the palate , spiced saline finish . Even though there are lots of tertiary notes, there is great freshness and grip on the palate , it’s long and saline. Certainly improved with time in the glass and overall this shows pretty well at the moment. From now and over the next 5-10 years . — 24 days ago
Great fruit slight acidity and a nice finish. Chatham wine store. 2023 vintage. $26 — 7 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour alongside the 2005 vintage. The 2009 “Giulio Ferrari” pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with lovely notes of spiced apple, passion fruit, and white flowers. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and fresher than the 2005 vintage. Drink now. — 9 months ago
Not as great as previous bottles. Still good though. — 9 months ago

Opened the 97 Monprivato back in spring and it wasn’t showing that well. This one seems fresher, more balanced. Not just fully mature but beginning a very slow decline. Nonetheless the depth of fruit, richness of the tar, smoke, herb, and sous bois is terrific. — 19 days ago
