Last had 2 years ago and the extra time has been good to this. Really a lovely burgundy with some rotisserie chicken on the first snowy day of the season in New York. Red fruit, light earth, and minerality all in balance and expressing very nicely. Finishes with good acid and a real lift. Delicious. — 7 months ago
I love this vineyard and Girard’s interpretation of it. Generous and enveloping nose with gorgeous mid season cherry, spice, seaweed paper, tweed jacket and macerated mid to late season cherries. Really provocative and deep aromas. Palate is classic young Fichots. A wall of tannin and gorgeous dark fruits that echoe but are currently 90% covered by tannins. So dense and chewy with just awesome inner mouth aromas and dark black and blue fruits and. sinewy, foresty vibe that is so intriguing. This wine needs air but is shaping up to be a classic Fichots. Nose opening up with dark cranberry, spice, forest floor and more. The Fichots aromatic complexity is really here in spades. I love this wine. Loosening up and getting so juicy. So pure. Really nice inner mouth aromas and terrific energy and freshness. Awesome on day 2. Nose is brambly and nuanced. Palate is out of this world. Dense and opulent fruit. So fresh. Bursting. Sweet and tart. 9.4 to 9.5 overnight. — a year ago
Gorgeous, silky, elegant, ripe, fresh, and energetic. Melts in the mouth. Just lovely. — a month ago
The farm funk and cherry notes paired beautifully with garlic noodles and duck! — 5 months ago
Checking out a new wine spot….so had to be Vosne Romanee (for benchmarking purposes 😉).
Selected a great producer and vintage but not Grand Cru/Premier Cru, so interesting to see the difference 🤔
Earthy, leathering, not quite as refined and smooth as the Grand Crus but we are really being picky…still a great bottle of wine…and new venue (we will be back)! — 5 months ago

Spice, mineral, red fruits, early-season raspberry, and compote. Really aromatic and so pretty. Elegant, architectural, generous, with fine tannins and a long, wispy, dissipating finish. Elegant fruit and real length. — a month ago
