Christian Drouin (Domaine Coeur de Lion)

Calvados 1958

As close to perfection as can be..,, smooth, silken, 2-minute finish. Nose of ripe, preserved, wrinkled apples…complete, complex, hints of baking spices, lighter than anticipated, but packing that 80 proof wallop. I anticipate most of bottle will grace a cool winter evening in front of the fire for 2 couples! — 10 months ago

Château Pape Clément

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

Nose was not showing much. Primarily plum, some cassis, earthy, mushroom, log fire, lots going on. Nice mouthfeel, medium finish. — 8 months ago

Château Cantemerle

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

2015 is reporting for duty. Balanced with brighter fruit and acid with cassis, plums and pencil elements. One could drink this with a variety of meats, fowl and fish. This wine is locked and loaded and ready to fire. — 2 years ago

Racy Red Blend

Early Nov night by the fire… Racy never disappoints! Although, I am disappointed they “rebranded” due to political leaning. — 6 months ago
