Sticking with the Vau de Vey alliterative format, this is very vibrant and vivacious. Extraordinarily pure ripe apple (with a nod toward peach) fruit on the nose, backed up with very clean limestoney minerality. On the palate, there’s an immediate jolt of very pure fruit, a soft, enveloping texture, and then the mineral notes kick in on the extended finish. Clearly unoaked, and with crisp, integrated acidity. Nicely done. Textbook. — a month ago

2022 vintage. First dance with this 1er Cru plot. Surprisingly, a bit more depth apparent than the same vintage Montée de Tonnerre. 01.15.25. — 18 days ago
