Popped and poured; enjoyed over four days and fairly consistent throughout. The 2020 Riserva pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart red fruit: raspberry, Morello cherry, red plum, black tea, red flowers, dried green herbs, and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Drink now through 2035 easy. — 6 days ago
Pop and pour WOW. Old world dried flowers on the nose. Elegant on the palate with balance of acidity and soft tannins - that linger on the front and middle of the tongue. More layers of flavors than I can describe with roses, mixed berries, clove, leather, tobacco, etc., and none were dominant. What a pleasant surprise. — 2 hours ago
Medium bodied, firmly structured and rather energetic, it sports a reserved and savory profile of aromatic wild herbs and spicy underbrush fruit.
As it warmed up in the stemware, it began to better display a balanced structure with vibrant acidity and fine grained tannins. The finish is juicy and long. — 5 hours ago

Bold yet surprisingly restrained. It offers dark cherry and plum with just a whisper of tobacco, all wrapped in a subtle, earthy elegance. Some may dismiss this particular vintage, I happen to enjoy it more than most. — 3 days ago
