Dundee Hills Chardonnay, which is declassified Durant Vineyard. Matchstick, minerals, and Meyer lemon, a lovely balance of richness and austerity and it takes on more depth and dimension with Greek roasted sea bass with a light lemon caper sauce. An excellent wine and tremendous value.

Popped and poured in a Grassl Cru. The fairly light translucent garnet color but excellent intensity present a textbook example of the difference between concentration and extraction. It initially shows evergreen inflected dark cherry on the nose, while a layer of very fine tannin latches on to pure fruit on the palate like Velcro. It broadens out and takes on more savory notes with air. Excellent now and I look forward to seeing what more age will bring to the table. — 6 months ago
It is Thursday night the eve before the start of another weekend. I have opened the 2018 Patricia Green Cellar Durant Vineyard Madrone Block Pinot Noir. This is a beautifully balanced pinot noir from the Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley of Oregon.
The nose brings out notes of cherry, raspberry, floral notes, sassafras, vanilla, cola, clove and baking spices.
Onnthe palate there is cherry, raspberry, cranberry, spice, vanilla, herbs, hibiscus and forest floor.
This wine is a beautiful expression of Pinot Noir that is beautifully well balanced and is medium bodied with medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that lead into a medium to long red fruit finish. Here we are on the eve before the start of another weekend and we need to look within to see how we want to proceed in life? Do we want to try and make something out of our life and do right with our fellow man or proceed with the status quo and not make a mark on this world.i hope we all want to make a difference and try and lift one another up. Let try and support one another and see above the hate and discontent. Please be kind to one another and be healthy and safe so we can all make this a better place. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 months ago
Pale straw yellow. Understated nose (too cold, pulled from wine fridge). Pear, Meyer lemon, delicate oak. No butter thank heavens. Should have waited a year or two but could not resist — 6 months ago
Luscious red fruit, fantastic depth of stems and balanced oak. Energetic, playful, layered and filling. This is going to age beautifully. — 5 months ago
Green apple (maybe peach) and honey suckle on the nose. Thick mouth feel. None of the Stoney, flinty flavor that you associate with Oregon Pinot Gris. Well balanced, almost off-dry, with strong residual sugars. From our honeymoon collection (2012). — 6 months ago
J’adore! — a year ago
