Honeydew, pineapple, citrus blossom, slate, honeysuckle. High tone, bright and energetic nose. Some lees stirring adds texture to the mid-palate. Gorgeous acid thread keeps it all together and lends to a mouthwatering and lingering finish. — 3 years ago

Red, black and blue fruits are deliciously ripe with just a touch of tang. A little barnyard Brett, but graciously balanced. Great oak and acid components frame the wine. Subtle spice rack nuances add to the plethora of layers. A really well made well intentioned wine. Is built for the long haul too. — 3 years ago

Raspberry, Bramble, Purple Flower, Anise, Dried Earth. Bright red fruit, nice acid structure pulls the wine through the palate, iron, mocha, well structured tannins bring a dense, chewy finish that provides ample length and layers. Still has years left. Well done Mr. Sokol-Blosser. — 3 years ago

White flower, tropical fruit salad, baked bread, slate. Ripe fruit, rounds through the palate, but has a tension to keep the wine focused. Acid and oak have really come together beautifully here to create a structure for the wine to age gracefully. This is way more nuanced compared to when I bottled it. Love how this is progressing. Lots of life left. — 3 years ago

If you want primary fruit I would open it. If you don’t mind earth and tertiary being the dominant components then it has a few years left.

A complex and sumptuous wine. Rhubarb, cranberry, cherries, red currants, crushed violets, mint. Leather, mocha, fennel bulb, iron ore, nutmeg, cinnamon. Expressive from start to finish. Velvety tannins. Fills the entire palate while being bright and energetic. Is drinking just as well if not better on the 2nd day. I’m so proud of this wine. Not much made, but I hope you enjoy it if you get your hands on some. Per usual, I can’t bring myself to score my own wine. Cheers. — 3 years ago
