This beautiful cab dominant blend (15% merlot) promises to be one of their best vintages in a long while. Dark fruits with a depth of flavor uncharacteristic for an only slightly big medium-bodied wine. Playfully spicy with a good tannic core. This got better each day over a 5 day timeframe. Ripe strawberries, rhubarb, slate, and maybe a little blood orange on the nose. Color is a deep, pale red, almost showing the bricking but this isn’t nearly old enough for that. Hues of violet to the edges with a medium body, though thinner than i expected. Smooth, less juicy and more dry, with notes of raspberry, menthol, a bit of iron and herb, but with some dusty tannins laid on top. — 5 months ago

Medium rubi robe, nose of cherries and spices. It has good complexity and lots of fruit, but also some wood in it, being well absorbed but easy to spot. Its a very good bottle, wine used to be done with Chambolle and Vosne young vines, dont know in 2018 but its a safe bet anyway. Would be much better off with less new wood. — 9 months ago
