Domaine Porte Rouge

Château Margaux

Pavillon Rouge Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

Medium ruby garnet , quite thin garnet ruby rim . Quite rounded blackberry , cassis , red plum , violet, cedar and burnt embers . On the palate this is quite elegant and red fruited ,red plum , cherry , blackberry and hint of red currant . Quite rounded and generous , balanced acidity and suave , velvety tannins . Medium length , with slightly smoky red fruit finish . This is showing well now , and is the middle of its drinking window . Now and over the next 5 years or so — 15 days ago

La Porte Saint Jean Saumur Champigny Cabernet Franc 2014

Vintage 2014 | so happy I could hold my fingers from this bottle. Now, at eleven years old it has developed a truly distinguished taste. A combination of brushwood and minerals. With in smell and taste pepperbell, clearly Cabernet Franc. Fantastic. Paired with a very simple Cantonese dish (vegetarian): Tofu stewed in oystersauce. — 22 days ago

Domaine Giacometti

Cru des Agriates Patrimonio Rouge Nielluccio Grenache 2020

A well-balanced red blend. The tannins give it a dry overall profile especially toward the end, but there's just enough earthiness and meaty fruit notes (dark plum) at the start to give it a rich flavor. — 3 months ago
