Something new every 15 minutes. In a very good way — 3 months ago
A dense, granular quality to this. Ripe and satisfying but also complex and well balanced. — 9 months ago
Basic and simple label. No extras. Rust edged ruby colored in the glass. Aroma is unique. Old books in a wood paneled room meets well made finished compost with a splash of cherry preserves. Flavors are cooked a bit, but not overly oxidized. Plenty of the cherry. Black cherry jam. Savory streak. Complex finish with some minty zip. This is fairly smooth and elegant. Low alcohol of 13%. Very much an Italian style like good chianti or clean Barbera. Great red vino at a very good price. — 4 years ago
Opened and decanted for 2 hours before dinner and then really only opened up and truly hit expectations around the 3rd hour when paired with wagyu strip steaks.
This wine was savory tightly wound and tannic at first. Didn’t show much fruit until after the long decant and then it really changed.
With time, the fruits shown through with great complexity and great balance for the savory elements. — 21 days ago
The deep cherry component was so overwhelming you barely noticed the tertiary notes. — 5 months ago
Still excellent. Dark cherries, plums, dark chocolate, and leather. Fabulous on the nose, full-bodied, and complex. An outstanding wine from winemaker Sharon Harris. — 2 years ago
