The weekend has official started and I have opened the 2015 Burgess Cellars Howell Mountain Hillside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.
On the nose there are good aromas of black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, herbaceous notes, clove, vanilla and oak.
On the palate is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, herbal notes, licorice, pencil shavings and dark rich soil.
This wine is full bodied with a smooth velvety mouthfeel, medium + acidity and medium + refined fine tannins that moves into a long dark fruit earthy finish. It looks as though we are moving quickly into spring and we all have been keeping ourselves healthy and safe. Lets keep working hard and we will all get through this safely. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

This was nice. Not amazing, but real Napa mtn cab with a bit of spice on the nose. Lush black fruit with spice showing up in the long finish. Would again. Getting better after 1.5 hours.

Amazing wine. Very complex with long finish that just stays with you. Berry up front with hint of pepper that fades into smooth oak finish.
