Les Prévolles Beaune Pinot Noir 2018

Beautiful lieu dit from Beaune. Definitely needs a bit of time - after 2 hours in the decanter, the aromas are beautiful and leap from the glass. Would prefer to wait for a couple years, tannins are a bit chewy - but still very nice. Excellent pairing with turkey on thanksgiving number 2. — a day ago

Confluence Les Arches de Bellivière Vin de France Chenin

Such a perfect chenin. Ethereal stone fruits, green apple, and gooseberry on a field of wax and pebbles. A fun little tuffifrutti quality on the finish, too. More exuberant on the second day for whatever reason. Hard to get bored of a wine like this. — 9 days ago

Mes Favorites Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Pinot Noir 2010

A beautiful wine that shouldn’t even be looked at for another five years. Still tightly wound after several hours in a decanter. Floral nose developing, very refreshing fruit. Needs (a lot) more time. — 3 days ago

Domaine de l'Aujardière (Eric Chevalier)

Vin de Pays de la Loire Sauvignon Gris 2006

First encounter with this unusual grape from Muscadet region. Kermit Lynch import. Thought Alsatian due to bottle shape. Nice medium yellow color and floral stone fruits and chalky nose fading to asparagus (according to Leila). Lucious profile carrying through to palate with firm texture to long acidic finish. Great with the salmon and leeks. Too bad only bottle AA 13. — 15 days ago
