Very well made, better even the second day — 6 days ago
I had a previous bottle earlier this year with similar notes. A lovely perfume, typically Vosne Romanee - red florals, earthy, mushroom - forest floor. Sweet fruited reflecting the warmer vintage. Lacked a little complexity. I was following Jancis’s drinking window (Julia Harding MW) of 2019 - 2025 which I feel is too early. This could easily go on for 3 or 4 more years. As a point of comparison I have another 2015 Les Chaumes made by Domaine Francois Lamarche where the drinking window from Jancis is 2026 - 2042 which is a big difference. Drinking Windows are an inexact science. — 2 months ago

Bringing the funk! Red fruits and a touch of Brett. — 2 months ago
Medium dark rubi robe, slightly faded brick on the sides. Nose of spices, mint and cherries. Very light on its feet with medium bodied feel, elegant and complex, spicy and floral. Truly excellent. We bought a case in 2007 and bottles have been in the cellar all these years. This is truly excellent and no rush. We had diner tonight to comemorate Adriana’s birthday. — 3 months ago

There’s village and then there’s village. Gibourg made fabulous 2012’s and at age 12, the Vosne village is showing superbly, with seamless layers of fruit, mineral and spice, with the concentration of the vintage and the elegance and finesse of the site and winemaking yielding the perfect combination. In a great spot. — 9 days ago
