Brut Carneros Sparkling Blend 2000

Here we go, 20 year old sparkler. This is a first. Smells like bread & apricots. Maybe a hint of apples and horses. Flavors are very well preserved. Yeasty streak with plenty of creamy citrus (lemon curd, lemon meringue pie, or orange creamsicle). Plenty of tannin and crispness too. This has aged just fine. 20 years might be the happy place for this wine. It also made a ambrosial mixer with a homemade apricot-Rosé-sorbet in a ‘wine float’. — 18 days ago

Started off with most of the acid in the front of the palate. Comes across more old world then new.  Brioche, beeswax and saline fill the mouth with the acid striking the back of the palate once it gets air.  — 4 days ago

Hyde Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

8years old and still fruit forward Muted nose early, but came around. Palate was ripe with raspberry compote was a strawberry licorice and white pepper finish. Sweet tannins and medium acidity. This will start to degrade over the next few years. Great Pinot — 10 days ago

Wildcat Mountain Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Small production, 124 cases, aged 11 months in French oak, 35% new. Met winemaker David Rossi, few years ago, who makes small batches by buying fruit from top vineyards and using a shared winery for crafting his small batch wines. Deep Ruby with a full range of dark berry aromas with wafts of earthy and spicy notes. On the palate blackberry & ripe black cherry with soft oak and vanilla spice. Fine soft tannins, long ending layered with fruit and dusty spice. Great now but should age well. Tasting Sample. — 9 days ago
