Champagne Taittinger was established in 1931 by Pierre Taittinger on the foundations of Forest-Forneaux, itself established in 1734 and the third-oldest wine producing house of Champagne. A blend of 30 Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunière vineyards, respectively 40%, 35% & 25% of the total, from several harvests, rich and complex. Pale yellow, vibrant bubbles, Crisp fruit aromas, apples and pears. Palate shows generous mineral and toasty oak notes integrated with the fruit. Absolute a must on your list, a true house staple for me. Great Champagne value. — 4 days ago

Just a stunning example of a chard. Our only bottle of this designation.
Brioche, brown sugar and capsicum on the nose. Palate surprises with a touch of effervescence, which subsided. Very tropical notes, with a touch of spice box. Finishes with marzipan and moderate sweetness - Inn at Pound Ridge (Jean Georges). Date night. — 10 days ago
From a recent disgorgement. Prestige Rosé stands out for its intense hue, secret lies in the blend, complex and costly to produce. The blend (35% Pinot Noir, 40% Chard & 25% Pinot Meunière) with 15% of the best Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims & Les Riceys added to the final blend, giving this cuvée its unique color, intensity & elegance. Fresh aromas, raspberry, strawberry & cherry flavors, elegant ending with chalky minerality notes. Tasting Sample! — 4 days ago
Taittinger's 2006 Comtes de Champagne Rosé is composed of 15% Pinot Noir with the remainder Chardonnay and it is a sensational showing. This fabulous Rosé opens up beautifully to pretty aromatics of strawberries and red berries which are laced with citrus zest, lovely minerality and subtle toast nuances. On the palate this shows a stunning combination of depth and energy and precision which defines this gorgeous Rosé as it leaves a beautiful impression on the palate. While the 2006 is utterly captivating now, it should also continue to evolve gracefully over the next decade. — 7 days ago
