Nose is mineral and iodine.
Palate is similar. Dense mouthfeel but not dense fruit. Fruit is silky.
A slight hint of green.
Hall of very good. But not Ina negative way. I’m loving this with no carb vegetable “lasagna”. Oy that makes me sound like a Californian.
Oops. At 90 minutes that insane rich caramel density shows up. Grand cru insanity all the way. Whatever. As in life with wine timing is everything. — 2 days ago
Expressive and fruit-forward with raspberry freshness, some spicy blackberries, ground black pepper and crushed rock. Very juicy on the palate with medium tannins, purity of fruit and electric acidity. You gotta love Grenache when it’s as joyful and gorgeous as this! — 3 days ago
Excellent and strong red wine. Great before and after breathing. — 16 days ago
Gorgeous nose. Has an richness but also salty sea air. Young and aging at the same time. Herbal and a hint of bittersweet caramel. Awesome. Palate is racy, energetic, savory and rich. Terrific sap and energy. Amazing texture. Dynamite finish and just sick sick texture. Wow. So long, juicy and nimble. A stunner. Has years to go as well. — 14 days ago
Such a great wine to finish out the decade. Who would have ever thought I’d love a Viognier this much? Good acidity and minerality, and the skin contact keeps some of the intense aromatic qualities of Viognier in check. A very balanced and interesting wine. Characterful Sancerre with intensity, body & steelyness. Great wine — a month ago
