Another solid vintage of this Côtes du Rhône staple. Blend of Grenache (60%) and Syrah (40%). Dark garnet color with ruby highlights. Aromas of ripe black fruit, violets, dried rose petals and roasted meat. Flavors of ripe red and black cherry/raspberry/plum fruit, savory dried herbs and spices and a bit of black licorice. Hint of earth and bramble on the long dry finish. No real noticeable oak aging. Fruit forward and fresh. Velvety tannins and medium-plus body. Exceptional quality and consistency for the price. Nose - lilacs, soil, clay amphora and erasers! (Haha) Flavors - cranberry and tart blueberries. Mouthfeel - a bit sharp and acidic with a semi dry finish some tannins but not too much. Look - gorgeous garnet color. Food - went sooo very well with the lamb my hubs made. — 2 months ago

Perfect Passover wine- pop n pour, extracted enough for those in the crowd who require power in their wine. More on the black cherry & blackberry spectrum. Clean, svelte, uncomplicated but not simple either. Enough cut too, perhaps moreso than previous vintages. Plus the bottle is like a Cadillac (well, like a luxury car, you choose.
