Big bold wine. Juicy! Requires food as a result. But love it! — 5 years ago
Competition Croze! Delicious fresh black fruits. Light and well-integrated soft woody touch. The finish brings layered notes of mint, peppery, caramel, well worked. The tannins are fine with a good persistence. With 2,3 year cellar: Best seller.
Croze de compet’ ! Petits fruits noirs frais gourmands. — 6 years ago
Lots of fruit and very drinkable. Grenache comes through nicely. — 7 years ago
Poured into a decanted about an hour prior to service and presented double-blind. The 2019 “Lily’s Garden” pours a deep garnet with a bit of purple and a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is developing with black bramble fruit, purple flowers, a touch of the animal and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The alcohol is elevated; calling it high. The finish is medium+. I called Syrah from France, from the Northern Rhône, Croze-Hermitage from a recent warmer vintage like 2019. Dangit…I got the variety right but I should have considered Australia with the elevated alcohol. This is a fairly classic Aussie Shiraz that certainly gives off a French vibe but the fruit and alcohol give it away. Drink now through 2034. — 2 years ago
Crunchy Croze « on the fruit ». Open nose, soft and fresh mouth with a nice volume typical of fairly natural wines. Beautiful, soft shades support the primary explosive notes of black, purple, iris, peppery and smoked fruits. Immediate pleasure, very greedy. Very nice wine to share as early as the aperitif.
— 5 years ago

Super-vitaminized syrah in the Moroccan sun (drunk on the spot!). Cuvée admirably conducted by Alain Graillot renowned for his Croze-Hermitage: charming nose of ripe red and black fruits, and an explosive bouquet of dried flowers. Wonderful vinification with well-integrated fruit / wood tannins; a supple and velvety palate. Otherwise, it is still very alcoholic. This prominence can be attenuated per hour of ventilation and refreshed to 13-15 degrees. 14-18 € ok, but not more!
— 6 years ago
Vibrant with great depth at this young age. I am off to buy some more to store. — 3 years ago
It’s herbs, it’s oxidized it’s marzipan, it has that bright citrus acidity, almonds on the finish. Not spectacular but finding a white Croze is rough here in Texas. — 3 years ago
Smokey, anise, eucalyptus, and blueberry cream. Acid over tannin with almost underripe blueberry. Elegant. Reminiscent of a well made Croze Hermitage with great length and purity of fruit. Well done. Drink now. — 5 years ago
So much pleasure with this 2019 cuvée! Always this exquisite balance between freshness / fruity (black: blueberries, blackberries) and the fleshy notes of well-crafted organic Syrah: menthol, liquorice, white pepper, tapenade. All enhanced with violet-type floral notes. One of the finest expressions of Croze, at less than € 20 (in France)
— 6 years ago
Do you not drink a lot of Croze hermitage. that being said -it drank wonderfully for a 13 year old. fruits and tannins still doing their job — 7 years ago

I left this in the fridge and drank this over a few days. I let it warm up a bit before drinking. There is tannin, what could stand up to hearty food, medium body with fruit. A heavy summer red but good to drink alone. I will buy this again — 10 months ago
