This was presented double-blind to the Tasting Group. The wine is copper in color with a pinkish hue, possibly due to skin contact. No signs of gas or sediment. No staining of the tears. On the nose, some slight VA, underripe stone fruit, grassy notes, slight petrol notes, olive brine, white pepper and very slightly smoky. On the palate, fruit is more pronounced; bright and tightly coiled. The stone fruits are confirmed…adding quince to the fruit set. The wine is quite floral too and there is a slightly toasted marshmallow thing. The wine is dry. Not tannic. Acid is medium+. Wonderful texture. Guesses were all over the place but when I said that it was not testable, one taster called Chateau Simone Palette Rosé which, is a really great call. Anyway, Musar Rosé ended up being too far a stretch for even this group of seasoned wine geeks. This was my first experience with the 2018 Musar Rosé and I would recommend to hold for a few years an allow to uncoil and flesh out. — 3 years ago
Deep garnet. Oak and dark fruit on the nose. Hour decant and still a bit tight but yet still very smooth and well structured. Red and black fruit. Tannins silky smooth with nice long finish. Beautiful wine! After another hour this wine was hitting its stride! So good!! — 3 years ago

Medium copper salmon colour . Slightly waxy dried orange , spiced wild strawberry , touch of resin , sea salt . On the palate this has more fruit , with touches of orange , spiced dried strawberry , roasted nuts, saline seaside hints , balanced acidity and elegant , refined personality. Intense and long , this is probably showing better and more complete than the 2011 I had a few weeks ago . Just starting to get going , but still with a long life ahead. From now and over the next 5 to 10 years perhaps . — 3 months ago
Gorgeous light copper color. Honey and melon on the nose. Initially a bubbly, dry white. Settles into a smooth minerality with a soft sourness that subtly becomes lightly fruited as it's in contact w the air. Incredible! — 3 years ago
2014 Clone 13 - This one is ready, probably still on the upswing for 3-5 more years. Pronounced acidity, starting to feel Burgundian. — 3 years ago

The colour of pink copper. Consistent fine bead with aromas of strawberry, honey dew melon, hint of beeswax. 100% Pinot Noir. As Jancis commented “like a Volnay in its perfume and delicacy but as substantial as fine red burgundy “. Could not see the point in further cellaring given how good this is now and already 17 years old, even if the window by JR is to 2027. A combination celebration of wedding anniversary and farewell to the children returning overseas. It’s all happening!! PS The photo shows the back light on turned on with a switch in the punt of the bottle giving a sexy pink glow. Obviously aimed at the dimly lit night club scene where it would definitely enhance sales. — 3 years ago

2004 vintage. Last tasted 03.01.25 (9.6). Another decade beckons. Beautiful acidity and balance. Light-medium body. Exquisite color. Slightly metallic/copper flavor with decaying rose petals. At the top of the bell curve currently. Phenomenal. 04.04.25. — 25 days ago
