Rapace Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2015

Mainly Sangiovese completed with Merlot and Cab Sauv. Personally these Super Tuscan blends work for me as long as Sangiovese is playing the first violin. Some AV without being too much, fruity mouthfeel and good length. — 8 days ago

Toscana IGT Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Really nice and great price too. Good acidity hint of grapefruit touch underripe peach Meyer 🍋. Nice execution of the varietal! If you love Sav I can highly recommend this! — 8 days ago

Toscana Merlot 2010

Dark fruit but showing precisely with solid but integrated tannins. Then rounding out with enough acidity to prevent it from becoming heavy and jammy. All about balance and a finish for dayyyyyssss. Mind blown!🤯 — 9 days ago

Marchesi Antinori

Tignanello Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2016

under rating this. Way too young, but C’est la Vie. Lots of baby fat on this youngster. It gives way to black currant and green olive. Expresso is prominent as well. Long finish drives home a balance super Tuscan. Rating will go up with time — 12 days ago

Fattoria Petrolo

Galatrona Merlot 2007

Best wine on the table. Nose of wildflowers, red fruit, black cherry, red licorice. Entry of black cherry, tobacco, cola, goes darker to the finish. Still has quite a bit of astringency on the finish as well with chalky bit stiff oak tannin. I love these wines, and also just not seen all that often. No way I would have guessed that this was an 07. — 9 days ago

Rosso Toscana Sangiovese Merlot

more then acceptable cheap wine.

a non vintage basic rosso from Tuscany

12.5% ABV

90% sangiovese
10% merlot

brownish red 👀

not so smelly really. cherry, tobacco, leather and some greeness (tomato?) and banana.👃

full body even a bit syrup like, I'm guessing rs.
high gripping acidity.

it plays games. tart ripe red fruit felt strongly then hides in the background as tobacco, leather and tannins take control👄

medium dry pleasent 🎯

keeps changing so stable it is not, but always pleasant.

superb vfm (35 nis, stupidly cheap in israel prices).
having a glass or two come supper time in my local imagined weekday neighborhood trattoria sounds devine.

paired okish with curry and turmeric spiced quinoa.
was lovely by itself later on as well.

Ceppaiano Violetta Toscana Sangiovese Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Drank 11/2/19.

No formal notes taken. Drank as part of a birthday dinner for my wife. Surprisingly youthful from magnum. Typical super tuscan, black cherry, earth, and some tar. Nice.
