More or less the same aspect as the Pucelles, medium gold in colour . A lot more reserved and younger on the nose , more linear and mineral , seashell, light lemon and some white flowers . This is discreet , at least on the nose , on the palate however this is intense but linear and focused , with a touch of lemon oil , but mostly chalky mineral , seashell notes , long vibrant length . Really fresh and vital though there is good mouthfeel , just a hint of toastiness on the finish . Long and fine , fresh and still young . From now and over the next 5- 10 years . Also a late release from the domaine , with wax capsule and Diam cork. — 2 months ago

2019 vintage. Last tasted 10.30.24 (9.3). Popped for the staff as part of the usual Saturday Slurp. Previous visit was ridiculously delicious but undisciplined. All over the map and that was much of the charm...that rusticity and authenticity...but at Woodstock with 500K in attendance and the LSD-spiked punchbowl that ambushed The Who still found them nailing their set. Kinda similar to that. Yeah. So tonight's viz finds this bad boy relatively behaved with frontal palate richness and savory chocolate note along with a plushiness that was previously hinted at but unfulfilled. Gaminess gonzo for the most part as this seems to have settled into middle-age. Say it ain't so! Was crazy excellent in the punk rock era. Still excellent in the arena rock era. We'll see what happens in the crooner/standards era. 6.27.26. — 19 hours ago

Velvety red fruits, vanilla, rubber industrial tubing, cracked pepper and wet forest floor permeate the nose, with a slight malo character that pervades, along with an overall floral element that wafts throughout. You can tell the pedigree with this. Deep red/purple coloration on a medium to full body, and even though this in young, the acidity seems well aligned, with tannins perfectly integrated, dry, but not austere. Palate is rich and refined, with prominent red fruits, not overly jammy or fleshy, but silky plums, black cherries, granite or graphite, with pencil shavings, slight balsamic characteristics, and a loooong lingering dry palate that lingers for quite some time. Really impressive for a wine so young! — 4 months ago

Decanted this for an hour and a half and reserved a glass in the bottle for the second day. These notes are based on the second day, as the flavors seemed to shine through a bit more. On the nose, aromas of blackberry and leather, although had to do quite a bit of swirling to get the aromas to come through. On the palate, beautifully deep flavors of blackberry and black currant coming through, with hints of graphite and cocoa in the background. Tannins seems pretty well integrated with good acidity, although definitely some grip on the finish. Cocoa seems to come through a bit more on the finish as well. Overall really tasty, but seems to be closing down a bit for sure. I have one more bottle, so looking forward to seeing how this tastes in 5-10 years time. — 7 months ago
