Drinking in 2024. Exceptional balance with a nice nose of blackberry and salt. Spice, full but fine tannins on the palate. Moderate length finish that is a bit confused. Let it open up for least 30 mins. — a month ago

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mon Chevalier is still a baby. I would not bother opening a bottle anytime soon. Dark and potent, with huge tannins, the 2016 packs a serious punch of intensity. A whole range of floral and mineral notes begin to emerge, but the 2016 is searing in its intensity. I expected a bit more here given the pedigree of the year. Perhaps that will come in time. Medium lemon yellow . Quite young appearance still quite a bit of oak on the nose , then lemon rind , touch of honey , wax , slightly herbal touch. Intense on the palate with lemon rind , wax and honied notes . Quite rich palate , but with good balancing acidity and grip, balanced alcohol . Medium length , slightly toasty finish . Still young , drinkable now and over the 10 years. — 4 months ago

2019 vintage. As rustic as ever. Blood. Earth. Plum. Stems. Heavy body. A step or two above a solid workhorse but not flighty. Tremendous punch. Could be wrong but think this producer only does Saint Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage and both are great QPR. 10.30.24. — a month ago
