Claude Corbon
Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Avize Brut Champagne Chardonnay
Medium lemon color, fine mousse and bubble flow, with a nose of stone fruits, floral scents and toasty leesy notes. On the palate lemon citrus and apple flavors with honeysuckle, toasty notes and mineral tones. Well balanced with toasty character, great mouthfeel on long finish, ending with mineral and yeasty tang. Nice!

Dec 31st, 2020This was baller. It was savory with a fennel thing going on but at the same time, still so fresh. Great value too. We are gonna need more than a few cases of this.

Jan 22nd, 2017Wonderful vintage bubbly with nose-smacking yeastiness straw stones funkiness followed by toasty full throttled mouth feel and long complex finish. Surprised Wilson Mabel not the usual bright style. Stood up to every dish at Mom dinner. Impressive. Just saw bought from JL tasting in 2016!

Such an absurdly funky wine on pop & pour.
Took about 30+ minutes to open up, and all along the path to opening up an intense nose of iodine/minerality, flint, mushroom, and mild citrus. This wine was the object of much discussion at the table and was the source of much nerdiness. WOTN for sure.

Very nice vintage champagne with good bottle age. A bit on the less complex end of things but not in a bad way.
