Try this with a vintage album, such as Chicago Transit Authority circa 1969. Carries a bouquet of angry leftist rebellion with just a hint of “the world is watching”. Damn good wine. — 2 years ago
The Clos Pegase label features Pegasus, painted circa 1890 by the French artist Redon. Pale lemon with aromas of fresh fruit and floral scents. On the palate apple and melon flavors, creamy with pronounced oak and citrus notes. Medium finish, good balance ending with fruit and oak character. Still tasting well. Good value! We just tasted beside a Stags Leap, Pegase won, and it’s $5 cheaper!! Nice!! — 4 years ago
Priorat circa 1990's- taking cues from what RP was liking in California and Bordeaux dark, inky stuff that is great for washing down foie and gras and Jamon. But not a wine I would open to appreciate on its own. Reviewing more supple, delicate Garnatxa Crianza coming soon! — 7 months ago
Nice 👍🏼

Château La Louvière has many fascinating facets. The sumptuous architecture of the château building dates from the late 18th century, but winegrowing here goes back more than 700 years. The first vines were planted circa 1310, although modern winemaking dates from the 17th century and was handed down by able monks from the Carthusian monastery in Bordeaux, who had acquired considerable talent as viticulturists and winemakers. The people who produce the wine in the 21st century have inherited these time-honoured methods, adding just the right amount of innovation and modernity to make the utmost of the outstanding terroir. La Louvière's red wine has a dark colour and an elegant bouquet with delicate hints of oak...

Ethereal (circa 1510): of the highest regions of the atmosphere; (from 1590s) an extended sense of light or air. In a boxing match, this featherweight Veyder-Malberg will light you up. In the mountains, it’s the stone you sick and the air you breathe at the solitude of 11,000 feet. — 4 years ago
Sebastiani Cab started my wine journey circa vintage 1993. Still a great wine! — a year ago

Had this about a year ago. Aged well from a year ago. Good value! — 5 years ago

This 2022 is next level. Have had several Rhône whites recently and this is a standard bearer. So focused. About editing and restraint with subtle hints of this and that without hitting you over the with anything. Dominated by Rousanne which explains its elegance and subtlety. Has a honeyed fresh slightly poached apricot and apple combo with whiffs of baking spices. Great Lacey quartz structure. Beguiling.. perfect with scallops, acorn squash and rice pilaf — 21 days ago
