Comtes de Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay 1996

Medium lemon colour . Lovely lemon, buttered pastry nose , still so fresh and lively . Mineral with a honeysuckle note , touch of blanched almond . On the palate quite rich and complex , with high acidity and mineral , honied , brioche notes , still quite fresh though with lots of creamy lemon hints. Long mineral tinged finish . Lovely now and over the next 5-10 years . — 17 hours ago

Cuvée des Grands Côtés Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes Coteaux Champenois Ambonnay Pinot Noir 2017

Never disappoints. Beautiful melange of red fruit, earth, spice and acidity. Full of power but not heavy. As good as some Grand cru’s . Coteaux Champenois is never inexpensive but this has become very pricey . Granted I have not had a large number of still champagne but I have enjoyed the journey. This one is widely considered the king of the hill. — a month ago

@Ira Schwartz Interesting Ira. I bought a bottle of the 2020 vintage of this Cuvée last year in a bottle shop in Tuscany. Will be interesting. I paid $574 AUD and I think I got ripped off.

Cuvée des Enchanteleurs Brut Champagne Blend 1998

Wow. 1998 was a great year and this is an awesome iteration. 2nd maturation phase. Perfectly (yes, honestly) balanced flavor profile and still vibrant - not sure what we can drink next to keep going upwards - let’s see. — 2 months ago
