Another superb 13! Mugnier’s Fuées, a magical vineyard and essentially a southern extension of Bonnes Mares, is just stunning tonight wafting layers of sweet strawberry-rhubarb, black tea, rose petals, game and smoky minerals. It’s liquid velvet in the mouth with an energetic spine of cool minerality and balanced acids adding freshness and focus to its delivery. A beguiling combination of power and elegance and a fabulous expression of the vintage. — 2 months ago
A beautiful deep red fruited nose along with earth. On the palate the wine appears angry that I disturbed its sleep. Gives me the red fruit found on the nose along with plums and throws in some spice & minerals. The finish was as if the wine threw the blanket over itself and told me to turn off the light and get out of the room. — a month ago
2016 vintage. Excellent fill and cork. Decanted with zero sed. Light/light-medium body. Tasted 45 minutes and 1.5 hours post-decant. All about the back-end white pepper/white sage/subtle clove spice rack finish. Excellent, lingering finish tickling different parts of the palate. More of a delicate Musigny. 08.01.25. — 4 months ago

Darker red fruit with cedar, mushrooms, and subtle forest floor. Spices and clove. An amazingly fresh wine worth enjoying now! — 3 months ago

Lavish nose of dark ripe fruit and hints of earth. In the mouth what you expect from this vintage. Abundant fruit but not as bold as one would think given the nose. The structure I found lacked precision. — 3 days ago
