Château La Croix Jura

Jean François Ganevat

Les Vignes de Mon Père Côtes du Jura Savagnin

Intensive kaleidoscope of sumo orange, olive oil cake and leaf pile. Motor oil viscosity but featherweight palate. Batard finish. Wow. — 12 days ago

Domaine Bernard Baudry

La Croix Boissée Chinon Cabernet Franc 2014

Crimson with a cherry red tinge. A certain pong on the nose - a cowyard note but not off putting - I like it. On the medium bodied palate black fruits and sour cherry. Highly savoury on the palate. The cowyard notes remained throughout the 3 to 4 hour time frame to consume the bottle. I drink very few Loire Valley reds but on the basis of this wine I should drink more. — 2 months ago

Château La Croix St. Georges

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2021

This is young...very young. However! This is already very impressive. Somewhat of a "if you know, you know" wine that has bags of potential. Give this 10 years and it will go up against almost any wine. Did an aged blind tasting against Dominus a few years ago and this smashed. Good one to have in your cellar! — 4 months ago

La Fauquette Arbois Chardonnay

No clue if this is the cuvee I have because the menu has pas de info. But it's a strong expression of violence and heart. — 2 months ago

Côtes du Jura Chardonnay 2018

Needs air but so freaking good. Ripe apricots, nuts, marzipan, stones, lemons. Really good. Keeps evolving. Will see where it lands later. — 2 months ago

Emmanuel Houillon (Maison Pierre Overnoy)

Arbois Pupillin Poulsard 2012

Truly one of the most singular wines in the world attaining mythical-like status, it’s wild and vibrant with a captivating strawberry-spice and floral bouquet with a deep, exceedingly elegant palate and a scintillating finish that goes on and on. Amazing wine and the most perfect summer red. — 3 months ago
