12/24 beautiful car. 2011. $45. It was 100 % cab. Blended from various Vineyard lots. It stayed in the caravan for seven days and softened into a very well balanced California cab hi marks 89. — 2 days ago
Deep inky in color with a short reddish rim.
Pretty nose of red and black fruits with cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, light bell pepper, herbs, dark coffee, dark chocolates and black tea.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black plums, cooked cherries, black currants, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, black pepper and spices.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious 5 year old Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Howell Mountain.
Elegant, rich and robust. Feels like a Right Bank Bordeaux, which is very interesting to see.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours in the decanter. The high alcohol is well integrated now.
Still young, and needs 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. Would continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.
Good by itself or with food. Paired very nicely with my steak and roasted potatoes.
A blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon and 38% Merlot. Aged in (60% new) French Oak barrels for 18 months.
15.1% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

This young Cabernet Sauvignon from Spring Mountain District in Napa Valley is still very young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature.
Fruity and interesting. Spicy and entertaining. Showing nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Feels like a Left Bank Bordeaux at this point. Very Interesting.
A good quality wine that will continue to age nicely in the next 25 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years. Showing good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Needed 3 hours in the decanter to open up properly.
I've had a few vintages of this wine, and it definitely needs time to show its capabilities.
A good food wine that will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc and a touch of Merlot. Aged for 18 months in (65% new) French Oak barrels.
