Castelli Martinozzi

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2011

22$ on WTSO nice rose petal red fruit nose. Cedar cherry tobacco hint of cloves. Nice. Tannins still a bit rough not integrated. Good length. Probably will be better in 1 hour as only waited 30 min from cellar. but very nice wine at a fantastic price point. 2 more bottles drink over next 3-7 years. — 5 days ago

Riserva 21 S.M. Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Classico 2018

Really love this naturalistic verdicchio. Great nose, earthy body with just right funk. Delicious. Yes. — 13 days ago

Classico Superiore Verdicchio dei Castelli Di Jesi 2016

What a great wine. A little virus and herb, a lot of mineral depth, and that bright Italian acidity, all held in a dynamic tension. Went with a spring vegetable risotto and some pan-fried snapper with fried sage in brown butter sauce. — a month ago

Stragaio Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi

Stracacio 2014.
frankly I was expecting more complexity and strength on the finish. However a good and interesting Verdicchio. I loved the limestone nouances on the nose. Feeling quite oaky even if apparently it didn’t rest on oak neither on skins. I’d have appreciated a way or the other. This isn’t a Natural, neither a conventional wine.

One of my favorite whites - smooth, steady, fruity but not too sweet. Love. — a month ago
