What a treat. Perfect with rigatoni bolognese — 2 years ago
Jammy, blackberry and black currant — 4 years ago
Quite nice and good to try a Barbera with some good age. Probably too much fruit for me - quite exuberant even at this stage. With some air this comes into balance more, nice wine. — 6 years ago
Beautiful perfume of fresh grapes, lychee, dark berries and the famous San Lazzaro island (Venice) rose petal marmelade. Very elegant and delicate in the mouth with delicious fruit (lychees and berries) and refreshing acidity, giving it a wonderful balance. Long finish with a subtle spiciness. Incredible value at 12.60 euro for 37,5 cl. 2013 vintage, 15% alc. by vol. — 10 years ago
Lovely wine, nice and bright, great fruit and light acidity. Large barrel aging gives body, but does not mask the fruit. — 11 years ago
Another perfectly acidic, high minerality wine with a slightly salty tomato flavor. Drank a couple glasses at Duck Soup on San Juan Island. — 4 years ago
Debut vintage of this and it slays. Nose is ripe as 15 can be but it is infinitely complex. Tar, roses, deep cherry fruit. Glorious spice and so nuanced. Just keeps opening. After 5 minutes it’s changed 8 times. Wow. This is a dream. As supple as the most elite Burgundy and so sweet! Wow. This is as Chambolle as it gets. Perfect balance and stunning purity and depth. Velvet and silk of the highest level. This is the best 15 Barolo I’ve ever had. It’s not close. Wow. Sweet, sensual and silky palate that has the spherical effect in spades. Nose is impossible complex. Unreal concentration and freshness. This is mindbending. Sadly only 36 bottles. Start begging!
This has the balance that only super .0001% elite wines have. This is stunning. — 5 years ago
This was in a zebra wine club at Bar & Garden in Culver City CA Oct 2017. Fantastic Italian white- citrus, sage-pine. Medium to full bodies. Had while cooking Lobster Tartine and Mussels and Clams. — 7 years ago
Better on day 2. Would like to try this again in 6 months to a year. — 9 years ago
Marmalade San Juan Puerto Rico wine paring! — 10 years ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of red and black fruits, floral and smoky oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum flavors with garden herb notes, cacao, tobacco and toasty notes from oak aging. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, vanilla and an earthy smoky spice character. Nice! Will continue to age! — a year ago
Nice acid to pair with your next rich pasta — 4 years ago
Nice Italian, has with pizza and was smooth, Gilda also likes it — 6 years ago
Great with salmon with pesto and pepperoni pizza — 9 years ago
A great find from Barbacco. — 10 years ago
Front label states "Dadelio Rosdo". No idea of the blend.
Pours a slight ruddy brick. Nose is both extravagantly dark fruited and savory with the porcini aromas of aged Nebbiolo. Noticeable sweetness on palate entry then firms and did up on the finish. Excellent pairing with a ricotta/ham/pasta scented with nutmeg. — 10 years ago
