Full bodied but still seemed light. Low tannins. Was very delicious for an Italian themed dinner party. — 6 months ago
2018 vintage. Spicy and a tad weedy (not the 4/20 variety) nose. Light-medium body but plenty of punch. Abusive Luxardo cherry in the flavors alongside cola nut, raspberry and rhubarb. Biggy tannins but mostly front-loaded vs back end. Needs a good 2 hour decant to air out. Tremendous hollers for the dollars. Almost a Pinot/Burgundy-styled bod. Almost. So much zip and personality. Super fresh and super presh. Love this producer. 3.31.24. — a year ago
2024 spring. Has good Nebbiolo character in a relatively open-knit style — 8 months ago
High acid, very fruity. Lemon, citrus, tight — 3 years ago
The 2021 Barbaresco is impressive. Intensely aromatic and explosive, the straight Barbaresco shows why 2021 is such a pedigreed vintage. Spice, lavender, sage and mint meld into a core of blue/purplish fruit. A gorgeous, overachieving wine, the 2021 just needs time in bottle. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2024)

Great wine. Some acid and minerals make it feel more robust. Buy more at North Buena! — 9 months ago
Lemon, peach, sea shell, river rock, perfumed white flower. Medium+ body with slightly oily feel on the palate. Plenty of zippy acidity to keep it fresh though. Lots of citrus and floral notes of lemon, lime, and orange with some pith and mineral bitterness.
Tasty stuff and excellent value. Hitting the spot on these warmer days. — 4 years ago

This is flagship Cabernet Sauvignon from Alta Nova Vinyards in Napa Valley, CA. a masterpiece from a female winemaker, Britt Richards who has the finesse of vinifying wines from myriad California terroirs (mostly mountains). Electrifying aromas of black forrest, leaves, earth and graphite. It makes an opening to the palate with punchy tannins, elevated but not overpowering acidity and silky, very silky tannins. Polyphenols are super-balanced, it can challenge any mountain-like heavy Cab from Napa as a great contender. Loved the elegant finish. Needs to open for over 2 hours to appreciate its potential and savory notes.
