Still a baby with a fresh nose of herby grapefruit, shy lime and cool wet mountain stream pebbles.
Brilliant concentration on the palate with this electric tension, racy acidity and a tight core of salty, slate minerality. Around this are layers of lime, white peach, ripe lemons. Ripe yet with great poise, focus and depth.

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Deep purple/ inky in color with a short purple rim.
Strong nose of black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, light earth, herbs, spices, tobacco, chocolates, mocha, light perfume, cola and peppercorn.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate and very fruity, with black plums, black currants, blackberries, dark chocolates, coffee, cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, light earth, herbs, peppercorn and tobacco leaf.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This young Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is already very approachable and good right out of the bottle. Nicely balanced with a beautiful nose.
Complex and fruit forward. Rich and extracted. Elegant with a nice mouthfeel.
Better after a couple of hours of airtime, when more earth notes show up to compliment the fruits.
I've had a few vintages of this wine, and it is very consistent. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
A good wine to pair with a big piece of steak, but also a nice sipping wine.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
14% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Citrus spray in slo mo - like a 90's OJ ad on Channel 4. Or the one for all-natural counter cleaner. Bergamot, clementine and bitter lime pith. Granny smith and cool flinty smoke. A hanging honey note transitions without much of one into a textured Meade-like experience. Riesling shines with honey. Doesn't give but for a ruby grapefruit bitter bite.
Excellent in smaller doses because damn acid can tire a fella. — 4 years ago

Sweet apples, pears, and a bit of petrol. With lemon and acidity and salt. — 2 years ago
Pings your nostrils with sequence of subtle vibrations at hummingbird frequency. Lime, orange blossom, burnt match. Then a slow slip into my absolute favorite honeyed dimension. I love when honey shows up - it's one of my favorite notes in wine. Here it changes the direction from steely stern face to a textured viscous warm smirk. — 4 years ago
