This Cabernet dominant wine is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot sourced from the Cara Mia Vineyard on Red Mountain. The 2015 version is heavy on the Cabernet compared to other vintages. A little more approachable than the Bel Canto right now, you’ll still be rewarded for cellaring it. The palate shows wonderful black pepper, green bell pepper, a bit of crushed gravel, and after a bit of decanting, the blackberries express themselves as well. Strong mouth coating tannins finish off this bold effort nicely. Drink 2020-2040- 93 — 7 years ago
Medium ruby in color; plums, bell peppers, and paprika on the nose; medium acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like raspberries, jalapeño, and wet slate with a long finish. It's a really interesting flavor. It's not for everyone, but well made. I like it. — a year ago
I found it surprisingly good. It was full body but with a tint of sweetness. I bought it at Mitsukoshi for ¥3,800. — 5 years ago

Spectacular. Strawberry ice cream on the nose. Tart strawberries and cherries on the palate. Beautiful lingering finish with just right tannins. About to pair with roast lamb! Stand by for more! — 7 years ago

Characteristic wine from Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. Expressive dark fruits, spicy, earthy and a jammy edge. Pairs perfectly with the corn, beans and mole in Mexican dishes. No wonder why they call Mexican wines the next Tequila! Want to learn more about wines from Valle de Guadalupe? Perfect all around natural — a year ago
Ripe, quite juicy fruit with candied red fruit aromas. On the palate medium acidity and red fruits with medium(+) ripe tannins, sweet spice flavours and a little cocoa. very good, alcoholic finish with a medium(+) finish. Overall fruitier than other #brunello which in some respects is a good thing because I found many Brunello’s oxidized (especially the Riservas) but that comes with a trade off and this wine had less complexity and less interesting tertiary aromas and flavors and a shorter finish than other wines. The #qpr is great though. Seemed more like a premium #rossodimontalcino than a Brunello. — 6 years ago
