Château Léoville-Las Cases

Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1982

Deep, dark blackberry fruit with menthol, graphite, spice, cedar, mineral & tobacco notes. This seems to be fully mature that will hold for many years — 10 days ago

Belle Glos

Las Alturas Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2021

‘Las Alturas' Spanish for 'the heights', a fitting name, this vineyard located on one of the highest grape-growing benches in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. 4th gen Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner from family with farming & winemaking roots in Napa since 1906. Met Joe several times. Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot I have come across). Nice berry and floral spice aromas. Rich cherry/plum flavors with oak, spice and vanilla. Long finish, bold ending with sweet oak notes. Very Nice! A Fav! — a month ago

Château Léoville-Las Cases

Clos du Marquis Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

Needed 3 hours of air to really open up.
Hour 1 was as inaccessible as Kilimanjaro.
Hour 2 was tightly wound and muscular.
Hour 3 was waltzing with raspberry, blackberry, currant, cedar, potting soil, caramel, mushroom, and green stems. Powerful stuff with a mineral backbone. Looking forward to trying on day 2.
